These discussion questions can be used in a book club (a mother-daughter book club, a teen book club) or even as questions to use with friends also reading this book..
- What about Shaley’s life as a rock star’s daughter appeals to you? Would you want to have that kind of life?
- Do you have a friendship as close as the one Shaley has with Brittany? How has this friendship helped you in difficult times?
- As you were reading the book, who did you suspect as Tom’s killer?
- Can you understand Shaley’s and Brittany’s wanting to go shopping the day after Tom was killed? Is that the way you would have reacted?
- If you were in Rayne’s position, would you have let the girls go shopping?
- Shaley has argued in the past with her mom about the issue of her unknown father. Should Rayne have told Shaley all about him? Why?
